I realized that the only thing holding me back was a proper Web2.0 Logo. Now, if I just add some scalable, community based, buzz-word tagging, I think I'll have a huge hit on my hands.

Confessions of a Hoarder

One of my friends recently began a process of (massively) decluttering. This being 2006, they naturally created a blog to accompany the process. Thus was born the Confessions of a Hoarder blog.



I am very happy to provide my support to this endeavor. Great progress is being made.

Great Freeware

I guess I'm just on a Lifehacker kick today. (this is what happens when you go through a whole bunch of backlogged blog posts at once, I guess.)

Anyway, Lifehacker has a selection of their favorite freeware. It's a darn good list, and I wanted to share it with those who are interested.

Happy Hours Make Me Happy

Who doesn't love a good Happy Hour? Unthirsty is a Google Map based web site that has surprisingly good detail in my neighborhood. And what else really matters?

Better Bloglines

Bloglines Rocks. There's not much more to say. It's simply the best way to read blogs that I've found. And now they're soliciting feedback from bloggers. (only, they're calling it
freedbacking. Will the butchering of our language never end?)

Enough of this drivel. The one thing that would make Bloglines even better for me: provide a setting to support configuration of 'serving size'. When I fall behind on a blog (inevitable!), it is a bit daunting to have to read over 100 posts a single sitting to get back up to date. I'd love to be able to configure Bloglines to only display a dozen posts at a time.

The Torn-Up Credit Card Application

Apparently tearing up a credit card application isn't a sufficient way to prevent someone from getting credit using your identity. Yet another document that needs shredding.

Update: An alternative approach to this problem is to Opt-Out of receiving these applications at all.

Quail Hunting School

I just heard about the Quail Hunting School. It's a good tool too practice shooting quail without accidentally hitting any lawyers.

Of course, I have too admit that one of my favorite things about this site is the Google ads!

Seattle Bicycle Touring Club

While taking the tandem out this past sunny Sunday, we met Jim and a group of riders from the Seattle Bicycle Touring Club. They have assembled a wonderful map library of local rides, complete with detailed turn-by-turn directions. It's a wonder that the Cascade Bicycle Club didn't do this years ago.
